Last classes

Today is my last day of classes as a freshman.

... to be honest, I still feel like I have weeks to go. I sort of wish I did. I'm going to miss European History. And Russian History. And pretty much all my other classes. I may even look back kindly on Art History, one day. I have to say, though: I am very glad to have no more papers due. I have exams next week, so I can't say I can relax at this point (not in the least), but... well. Anyway, I got an A- on my last Russian History paper, which I am alright with. I was meant to get my final European History paper back yesterday, but as it turns out, that won't be happening until the day of the exam (Monday), as the paper was technically optional for me, and I wrote about two times as many pages as was required. (I wrote fourteen pages. We were meant to write six or seven.) In all fairness, it was a really interesting essay topic, and there have literally been entire books written on the subject (The Anatomy of Revolution, by Crane Brinton, for example), so I think I did rather well on cutting down. I just handed in my American History paper, which I ended up writing on British neutrality during the American Civil War. Needless to say, it turned into a long explanation of the British textile industry's dependence on American cotton imports, but... well. I thought it was interesting.

Anyway. I have midterms all of next week until I leave on Thursday afternoon, so I'll be spending this weekend studying and packing. I'm sort of worried about being able to fit everything back into the boxes, but... well. I'm sure it will work out somehow. But yes. If I don't write until... er... 13 May-ish, that's why.

I don't really have much else to say... I'll probably think of something as soon as I post this, but ah well.

My love to all,
Tasha

ps. One of my floormates, Kate, just got a pet rat named Florentina, and she is honestly one of the sweetest animals I have ever met. She especially seems to love Kaira...
